Cost

There’s a cost associated with membership of EVERY club that has registered members eg; insurance, building maintenance, cleaning etc. We think our subs are very reasonable. No one makes a profit. Everything’s at ‘cost’!

  1. It varies from Lodge to Lodge, but probably around £150 (mostly admin fees) to become a member, plus £150 a year in annual subscriptions. Then there is the cost of dining and drinks along with an Alms collection. You’ll also be expected to make a regular payment to charity, but this is entirely dependant on what you personally are able to afford.

    1. I’ve heard that it costs thousands of pounds a year to be a Mason. That’s NOT cheap!

      1. My Masonry doesn’t cost me anywhere near that. You might be confusing us with Livery Lodges, to Mastership of which is eye-wateringly expensive, but common or garden Freemasonry in ‘Local ‘ Lodges only costs a few hundred pounds a year ‘all in’.
